Your kids deserve better.
Protect their future by switching from dirty to clean energy.
Here’s three ways you can help tackle climate change:
Swap
polluting stuff for clean stuff – and save money along the way.

1. When it’s time for a new ride, save thousands by switching to an electric vehicle
In the U.S., most of our pollution comes from transportation. The good news is, EVs have never been more affordable.
New incentives offer thousands in discounts for going electric. Learn how switching makes sense for you, and say goodbye to gas pumps for good (cha-ching)!

2. Learn How to Electrify Your Home
Appliances like gas stoves can create the pollution that puts our kids at risk. The good news is, safer appliances (like electric stoves) are more affordable now.
In fact, new incentives offer up to $14,500 toward electric appliances (which cover a great deal of the up-front costs) tax credits, or even low rate financing to bring down the monthly. Score!
Find out which cost-benefits you can unlock through electric appliances. Here’s a resource for renters and homeowners alike.
3. Get your power from clean energy sources
Most of the electricity we use to power our homes comes from polluting sources (like oil, gas and coal). The good news is, clean alternatives are reliable – and more affordable than ever.
By switching to clean sources, you can cut back big on your monthly, while also giving our kids a healthier planet.
In fact, thanks to new incentives, you’ll save 30% on switching to things like solar panels or geothermal systems. Learn why switching makes sense for you.

4. Weatherize Your Home
Things like insulation, ventilation improvements or door & window upgrades can all reduce the amount of energy it takes to heat and cool your home.
By cutting back on energy waste, you’re saving big on energy bills, all while helping protect our kids’ future.
The first step to weatherize your home is often an energy audit, where a professional walks through your house and sees what might need an upgrade. These audits are usually low-cost, or totally free!
Call your local utility provider to schedule an audit.
5. Heat your home cleaner, and more efficiently
A heat pump is like an A/C unit and a home heating system, all in one – that doesn’t create any of the pollution that puts our kids at risk.
Since it takes less energy to move heat around than to produce it entirely, heat pumps are an estimated 3-5 times more efficient than most polluting heating systems.
This mean less energy used to heat your home, lower energy bills, and more money in your pocket!
When paired with clean electricity sources like rooftop or community solar, heat pumps can operate without creating any pollution at all.

6. Dry your clothes more efficiently
Just like stoves and other appliances, swapping out your old, polluting gas-powered dryer for an electric one can help save energy and money.
Mom tip: New incentives are offering big savings on a heat pump clothes dryer, which doesn’t use any fossil fuels. Like other heat pumps, these dryers are more efficient than gas-powered ones, which makes for a lower utility bill.
As a bonus, heat pumps don’t use any vents, which means they can be easily installed, anywhere in your home.
7. When possible, give polluting appliances a rest.
The best way to save money on energy costs is to not use energy at all.
Drying clothes, textiles or towels the old fashioned way can take some extra time, but spares our kids the extra pollution.
Saving money, saving our kids’ future – everybody wins!

1. Join a group
Protecting your kids’ future isn’t a fight to face alone. In fact, there are already groups across the U.S. working together to tackle climate change, and raising their voices for leaders to hear.
By joining them, you can help make those voices even louder. We created a quiz to match you with the groups you can best help to make an impact.
2. Talk to your leaders
Let your leaders know you mean business when it comes to protecting your kids. They have the power to make the changes we need, but it’s on us to let them know we care.
Ask your local leaders (and your business leaders) about their plans to stop big polluters, and how they’re investing in our kids’ future. You never know how inspiring one letter can be. Use this template to speak up to leaders in your area.
